OBC Cell
The OBC Cell in our college is dedicated to safeguarding the rights and promoting the welfare of students belonging to the Other Backward Classes. Its role is not limited to ensuring the proper implementation of reservation policies and government schemes—it also actively works to create an environment where OBC students feel supported academically, socially, and personally. The cell helps students access scholarships, fee concessions, and other financial assistance provided by the state and central governments, guiding them through the application process and ensuring timely benefits. It serves as an approachable platform for addressing academic challenges, personal concerns, or any instance of discrimination, with complete confidentiality and impartiality. Students can reach out via phone, or in-person meetings, and the cell’s open-door policy ensures that help is always within reach. Faculty mentors associated with the cell provide academic advice and moral support. Its ultimate aim is to ensure that OBC students not only receive their rightful benefits but also thrive in a campus culture that values equality, dignity, and opportunity for all. By combining advocacy, support, and empowerment, the OBC Cell plays a vital role in helping students achieve their goals and contribute positively to both the college community and society at large.
