SC/ST committee

SC/ST committee

The SC/ST Committee of our college is a dedicated and approachable body that works tirelessly to safeguard the rights, welfare, and dignity of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Established with the vision of building an inclusive and equitable learning environment, the committee ensures that every SC/ST student feels respected, supported, and empowered to achieve their academic and career goals. Its responsibilities go beyond simply fulfilling statutory requirements—it actively works to make government scholarships, fee concessions, reservation benefits, and special training opportunities easily accessible to the students who are entitled to them. The committee also serves as a friendly and confidential point of contact for addressing concerns, whether they relate to academics, personal matters, or any incident of discrimination. Students can approach the committee in person, or via phone, and they can be assured that every matter will be handled promptly, impartially, and in complete confidence. The committee works closely with college administration, faculty, and student bodies to promote sensitivity toward diversity and to ensure that discrimination in any form is neither tolerated nor overlooked. These initiatives not only help individual students but also create a stronger, more supportive campus culture where everyone learns to value diversity and equality. At its core, the SC/ST Committee is more than just a statutory requirement—it is a partner in each student’s journey, standing beside them to provide encouragement, opportunities, and a listening ear whenever needed. With its open-door policy, proactive outreach, and unwavering commitment to fairness, the committee ensures that no SC/ST student feels left behind, and that every individual has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, respectful, and motivating environment.
