PG Department of Mathematics , Sree Narayana College Nattika in association with Kerala State Higher Education Council , IQAC & PTA organized a webinar in connection with PARAMPARA 2021 on 18-12-2021 through google meet. The webinar started with a prayer by Ms.Megha Manoj, Student, II M.Sc. Mathematics at 11 A M. Head of the department Ms. Diviya K D welcomed the gathering. College Principal Dr. Reena Ravindran presided over the webinar. The guest speaker Dr. Shinoj T K , Scientist, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (ISRO) ,Thiruvananthapuram handled the session on “ Glimpses of Non-Euclidean Geometry” . He first explained the Euclidean Geometry and then introduced Non-Euclidean Geometry. The difference between Euclidean Geometry and Non-Euclidean Geometry is mentioned. The relevance of Non-Euclidean Geometry in the current era and some applications were also discussed. After the presentation, question and answer session was conducted. Students asked and cleared their doubts & queries about the presented topic . Webinar Co-ordinator Dr.Sreena T D proposed vote of thanks. Ms.Gayathri G, Student, I M.Sc.
