Department of Statistics, S N college Nattika celebrated National Statistical day on 21.07. 2023. The celebration starts with a brief history of Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis (reference - https://artsandculture.google.com/story/father-of-india-statistics-prof-prasanta-chandra-mahalanobis-indiastatistical-institute/wAURK23-669ILA?hl=en) The function was inaugurated by Dr. Vimala.M(Associate Professor & CoE Vimala College(Autonomous) Thrissur). Dr. Vimala. M conducted a session on “Statistics in every day life”. In this session she gave a detailed Insight how Statistics is being used in all interdisciplinary subjects and interacted with the students mentioning about the importance of Statistics and its significance in the real world. And she also extended her lecture on Actuarial Science. 102 Students and faculties from various Departments were participated.
