The Department of History offers Modern Indian History as the complementary paper for B A Economics. The Department strives to shoulder the responsibility of nation's dream come true by imparting higher education. The vision and mission of Department of History is based on the belief that an understanding of history is essential not only to complete education but also to a life of a wider awareness, fulfillment and responsible citizenship.
The Department of History Observing important days such as Republic day,Kerala piravi to the holistic development of students. These activities helps to developing various skills such as leadership,teamwork,problem solving and communication.

- To acquaint the students with the growth and consolidation of colonial rule in India and the major socio-religious developments during this period
