The Department of Mathematics, Sree Narayana College, Nattika, successfully organized the Mathematics Association Inauguration and a seminar on the theme “Pixels and Celluloid Ciphers” on 7th February 2025 in the college seminar hall. The event commenced with a prayer song rendered by Ms. Dhanzy V, a fourth-semester M.Sc. Mathematics student.Ms. Arathy K D, Head of the Department, delivered the welcome address and the presidential address was given by the Principal, Dr. Jaya P S, who highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in mathematics education.The Mathematics Association for the academic year 2024–2025 was officially inaugurated by Dr. Sujesh A S, Assistant Professor on contract.  who also delivered a seminar on “Pixels and Celluloid Ciphers.The session shed light on the mathematical foundations behind image processing, digital encryption, computer graphics, and their applications in cinema and visual media.The seminar was both insightful and engaging, offering students a unique perspective on how mathematical concepts like matrices, transformations, and cryptography are integrated into digital technologies. An interactive Q&A session followed, allowing students to clarify their doubts and delve deeper into the topic.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Krishnapriya V M ,the Association Secretary. The active participation of faculty and students contributed to the success of the program.
